The Euganean Hills Regional Park, about 18,700 hectars in extend, was fouded in 1989 and covers an area of grat geomorphological interest, characterized as it is by hills of volcanic origin which formed in the Oligocene about 35 million years ago. Monte Venda, at 601 metres, is the highest of the formation.
